The Bachelorette

I attended a Bachelorette weekend at Buffalo Thorn Lodge. I had never heard of it, but one of the other bridesmaids could not stop talking about the beauty and luxury of the Lodge and reserve as she had been there before. We had a lovely girls’ weekend filled with games, laughter and unforgettable memories. All thanks to BTL. We were attended to hand and foot.

We went on a private game drive and saw amazing animals such as lions, kudu, wildebeest, multiple bird species, elephants and rhinos. We sat in a hide for an hour watching the lazy lions relaxing at the drinking hole. We were also able to relax and enjoyed being outside the rush of city life. One morning during breakfast, an Elephant was drinking water just behind the fence. We lay in the pool and watched it for ages.

The Lodge itself and the facilities were beautiful and provided for great entertainment. We were like the lions at the pool during the day, and the braai and boma area was utilized at night time, allowing the nature nut, bride-to-be and her closest friends to enjoy the sound of the wild and to gaze at the stars. The Lodge provided games, books, lounging chairs at the pool and a pool table that allowed every type of person to have an enjoyable experience. The bride had a wonderful time with her friends and I also absolutely loved the place.

Thank you BTL for hosting us with so much care and passion. I hope to have another wonderful experience with the staff of BTL, and to enjoy the wonderful accommodation and animals that you have to offer with the special man in my life.
