March Rangers Digest

With the season starting to show signs of change, sightings have still been fantastic. The ghosts of Pilanesberg (buffalo) have been seen on almost a daily basis. During the summer the Buffalo mainly reside on Black Rhino as the grazing value of the delicious, sweet grass is superior to that of the rest of the Pilanesberg.

Rain, the female Cheetah and her two cubs have also been on Black Rhino for most of March. We have noticed that she has a small limp, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting her ability to hunt and provide for her cubs. Her exact age is unknown, so it might just be old age quirks starting to show.
