We had Retha Poorter and her Family vis.ting the lodge this past weekend. The game is quite scarce at the moment due to the bush incredibly dry. Ranger Ian suggested instead of doing two shorter game drives they would prefer doing one longer one in the afternoon. And was it worth it, for sure: They got to see some amazing game!
Elephant, rhino, hippos, impala, steenbok, giraffe, kudu, vervet monkeys, baboons, zebra, wildebeest,liona and a magnificent sighting of a Python.
AND
All 3 the cheetahs of the Pilanesberg- Two males and later a female on an impala kill.
What a great weekend of great sighting!!
